Kalima Bobb-Semple was called to the Jamaican Bar in 2012 and has specialised practice experience in Insurance Law, Civil Litigation, Personal Injury, Conveyancing and Corporate Law.

Prior to joining Ramsay & Partners, she served as Senior Legal Counsel at British Caribbean Insurance Company (BCIC), one of the larger general insurance companies in Jamaica. There she headed the litigation portfolio, negotiated claims, handled insurance bonds, and provided legal and administrative support to the Company. Kalima previously practiced Family Law, Property Law, Estate Law and Civil Litigation at a highly reputable medium sized firm.

Kalima has served as an Arbitrator on the panel of the Insurance Association of Jamaica since 2015 and is a Member of the Jamaica Bar Association.

She was awarded the Jack Dear QC Prize in Company Law in 2010, and the Patterson Cheltenham QC Bursary in 2008 while reading the Bachelor of Laws at the University of the West Indies and previously obtained a BSc in Tourism Management from The University of the West Indies and until 2007 was employed in the tourism and hospitality industry.
